Inspect Bridge Alignment and Fine Tuner Range
Hold the violin at eye level and check that the bridge stands at a strict 90-degree angle relative to the violin belly, perfectly centered between the inner f-hole notches. Inspect the fine tuners on the tailpiece to ensure the screws are set halfway in their travel. If a fine tuner is screwed all the way down near the wood, loosen it counterclockwise until it has room to tighten later.

Tune the A String with the Fine Tuner

If the needle is slightly flat (left of center), turn the corresponding tailpiece fine tuner clockwise in half-turns until the display registers a stable, centered A4 green light.
